IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR AMERICAN CUSTOMERS

Tariff Notice — Effective September 5, 2025

Most items on our Made-to-Order site are tariff-free.
Exception: Heat transfers may be charged U.S. tariffs, duties, or courier brokerage fees at delivery. These amounts are set by U.S. authorities or your courier, not by us. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

If your order includes heat transfers, we will email you before we ship with what we know about potential charges so you can confirm you still wish to proceed.

Why this is happening
In 2025, the Trump Administration introduced new U.S. tariffs on Canadian imports. Those measures can apply even when base duty rates are normally 0% for printed transfers and even when goods qualify under CUSMA/USMCA. Brokerage fees are also set by couriers independently of any government duty. We do not control these charges and cannot quote them in advance. We’ll keep advocating for fair treatment of Canadian-made goods and update customers if policies change.

About CUSMA/USMCA
Our heat transfers are made and printed in Canada and, under normal CUSMA/USMCA rules and the HTSUS classification for printed transfers, they should be duty-free. Current U.S. trade actions, however, can override those preferences and result in additional tariffs being assessed at the border.

Indigenous Rights Statement

As an Indigenous-owned business serving many Indigenous customers, we believe our merchandise should be exempt from cross-border duties and brokerage. The border crossed our Nations; our trade across this land long predates it. Charging duties on goods moving between Indigenous peoples is patently unfair.

This belief aligns with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), which affirms that Indigenous peoples divided by international borders have the right to maintain and develop economic relations across borders, and that states should facilitate this right. Canada has legislated implementation of UNDRIP, and the United States has endorsed it.

We will continue to advocate for policies that honour these standards so Indigenous merchants and customers can trade freely, as we have for thousands of years.
